KUALA LUMPUR — In an announcement that has reverberated across Southeast Asia’s cultural landscape, Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and Enfiniti have officially confirmed the monumental return of Malaysia’s most celebrated theatrical masterpiece, Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical (PGL), returning to the live stage in late 2026.

Originally premiered in February 2006 at Istana Budaya, Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical shattered national box-office records, earned 17 BOH Cameronian Arts Awards across successive runs, and toured internationally to Singapore’s Esplanade Theatres on the Bay. Following a 17-year hiatus since its last major Kuala Lumpur season, and after the heartbreak of a pandemic-cancelled 2020 revival, the timeless epic of divine duty, love, and sacrifice returns reborn for a new era.

From Gusti Putri to the Director’s Chair

In this landmark 2026 staging, Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina makes a monumental artistic transition: after originating and embodying the iconic Gusti Putri Retno Dumilah across both film and theatre for over two decades, she now exclusively helms the production from the director’s chair as Executive Producer and Director.
